I wonder what my life would be like if I had a normal mind. It’s a question I often ponder. I also think without my “Chum” I wouldn’t have the life experiences that make me, me. I say all this because I was recently asked how I want to be remembered. It’s a question that I can’t readily offer up an answer other than the feeling of sorrow. Hello all your rockers and rollers of words today blog post is inspired by the question of all questions how I want to be remembered?
Hello all your champions of words, today I’m excited and humbled to be a nominee of the “Badass Blogger Award”. What is a mistake? What is failure? Are the two connected? We all make mistakes or have experienced failure. It could be something small as work related or something on the grandeur side like family related or something we’re passionate about. Most of us chalk the experience up to lessons learned moving us forward in life a bit wiser. Then there are the few who struggle with mistakes. Looking at these mistakes as failing. It’s that failure that some of see as a lack of ability to be creative, be intelligent, having smarts or talent. Is fear of failure the new mental block we need to overcome? Let’s explore.
There’s not a person on this planet that don’t have some type of social media account. Whether it’s Twitter or YouTube chances are even great grandma is being followed on some form of social media. Over the past twenty years, social media has made a huge impact in our lives. Social Media gives us the opportunity to show support in ways never seen before. With social media we can promote, connect and influence the masses. I can’t think of a bigger platform to use for getting your message across then social media.
Here we are in year twenty-twenty-two having surviving the previous year I thought about what would be my first blog of the year. As I was scanning through older blog posts I came across a blast from the past. In my past blogging life I was a reality TV show junkie. I had it bad. A fun fact this website started out as a reality TV blog.
I had a change of heart when the shows I were actively watching became bigger than myself or my Chum can handle forcing me to give up the ghost. That was nearly six years ago. However I still drop in from time to time and see infamous taglines. I thought what a fun way to ring in the new year by sharing some favorite taglines of those infamous Housewives.
August 27, 2018 I wrote a blog titled “TOP DECEASED CELEBRITY MONEY MAKERS OF 2017” ranking the highest paid deceased celebrity. That blog was inspired by watching a commercial of Elizabeth Taylor promoting her perfume White Diamonds although at the time Ms. Taylor has expired two years prior. I remember thinking how beautiful she looked with all the touch ups that go on with new technologies. I thought wow she doesn’t look bad for a dead women. Yes I know that’s a cruel thing to think but trust me that’s not the intent. Then I thought who the highest paid deceased celebrity is? In researching I wasn’t surprised when it was reviled Michael Jackson ranked number one his estate bringing in a whopping $75 million. Is MJ still the top money maker?

What’s hurting right now beside the pain in my heart or the hole in my soul left by loving you. Everyday since you left I been in an out-of-control spiral hell. I’m not among the living but not quite dead. I don’t know what this space is but I feel cold and empty.
They say it’s okay to grieve. Is this grieving?
They say it’s okay to cry. Is this crying?
They say it’s okay to be sad. Is this sadness?
You abandoned me in misery, orphaned and alone. I tried a thousand times to join you but you say “it’s not my time”. Healing comes at a cost and one day I hope to be strong enough not to tug too hard at this scab.
