Hello all you rockers of words, today blog is inspired by a conversation had by friends who shared different experiences of coming out. A very dear friend of mines a champion came out to me when we were twelve. I had no idea what “Gay” meant. I didn’t understand why he was trying to explain his feelings. I never looked at him differently because of that. “K” and I always have a love for two things BOYS and MOVIE QUOTES. I remember sitting in the bleachers at school during P.E. we would watch the boys and share in some interesting innocent sport-like banter. To this day he’s is one of my dearest friend who I will lay down my life for.

Coming out in any capacity is difficult. It’s difficult to live in your truth under judgement. It takes a set of big brass balls to walk this path. Once out the world is a bigger place. Freedom to shed that old skin is refreshing.
September is National Suicide Prevention month. If you are experiencing suicidal thoughts or self-harm seek help immediately by dialing 911 or local emergency service or calling National Suicide Prevention Lifeline hotline 800-273-8255.
Why do people make comments about race when it comes to listening to music? Music has no color barriers. Music transcend through time crossing all realms of society. Hello warriors of words today blog come from a bone head who seem to think that rock n’ roll is only for white people ears. I had another idea for today blog but this incident on social media completely changed my thought. As if abuse in the workplace isn’t important I learned that this topic is just as important. I hope to educate an get the conversation started. I want to point out a few things…
Hello champions of words, today blog post is a blast from the past. Dated August 17, 2011, I decided to tackle an entry posted on a friend #Facebook page dealing with racism in America. I wanted to get the conversation going at which I failed but now in revisiting past blogs, I think this is just as relevant today as it was nine years ago.
Hello, usually I would start my blogs off with some kind of clever intro but I decided against that today because what I have to say needs no clever intro. I am reminded of how vocal I use to be on social media when it comes to our local (Los Angeles County), state (California) and federal government (US). I been accused of being particular harsh when it comes to Mr. Trump his administration and his policies. I decided not to indulge in politics on social media only because people can’t just have a respectful conversation. I am of the belief that if you’re not happy with the system do your part to change it. This is true in every aspect of life. My way of dealing with the frustration of what’s going is to have healthy discussions and eventually voting. If you don’t vote them you don’t have any right to complain right? Lately I notice the down right nasty behavior has definitely left a horrible taste in my mouth.
Greetings all you youthful wizards or words, today is a beautiful day in the SoCal. Partly cloudy with a nice brisk breeze which is putting me in a delightful creative writing mood. Today I posted on my twitter account (sunnylarue17) that I don’t block or mute any conversations unless pissed off because all conversations good or bad are inspiring with that being said today’s blog is inspired by a popular tweet gifted from the one and only Kim K. West.
Kim K has no limits to the power she processes. First she was able to work his magic on getting getting Alice Marie Johnson free from prison and now she’s flexing her muscles on the fast food chain Jack In The Box. Apparently displeased with a visit the social media queen took to twitter to express her disliking. In her tweet she refuses to put the fast food giant on blast only saying “I have a serious complaint but I won’t fully put you on blast, check your corporate email inbox or send me a DM with direct person for my team to contact. Pronto!”
The fact that Kim K wants a representative from Jack In The Box to contact her “team” is brilliantly comical but what makes this tweet laughable is the fact the Kim took the time to write out her complaint in a form of an email send it to the corporate headquarters. Then goes on twitter demanding Jack and or his people to read said email. One can speculate that Kim even crafted said email after all she has a “team” and maybe one of her “team” members wrote the letter I guess it doesn’t matter because true to form the fast food giant quickly responded with; “Hi Kim, we are unable to DM you. Please send us a DM with how we can get in touch with your team & someone will reach out immediately.” Now that’s POWER!
Ceasing on the opportunity to tap into Kim K massive twitter followers other fast food giants like “Wendy’s”, “Carl Jr”, “Steak-Umm” and Burger King took aim at revival Jack In The Box post a slew of comical tweets;
Kim tweet is even trending on news outlets like Fox News,Bloomberg, and Newsweek. Kim K is the only celebrity that can Trump, Trump as we see with this latest publicity stunt. Nevertheless, its a good little vacay from the serious complaints of the world like the impending war with Iraq or the trade war with China or the new strict laws of abortion in the South or the war on the border and of course gun control. Thank you Kim K for giving us the gift that keeps on giving and making us feel so happy about our little everyday lives.
Hello all you masters of words, as I sit here listening to my playlist from the 80’s feeling nostalgic, I find myself longing for the good old times. Missing old buddies, one particular friend comes to mind. She is one of my champions, who encouraged me to continue writing. She and I go way back. I can still see her waiting for me up on the Blvd (Hollywood Blvd) at our spot, planning our ditch day. I recently found two of my diaries realizing that one of the diaries is solely about her and our adventures together. True to form most of the crew we hung out with all but disappeared, not true with her. We kept in touch making our bond stronger. Her story of courage has inspired me to write this blog. This blog post is dedicated to my dear friend Beth.
Hello blogging world. Today I am doing a spring cleaning of sorts, attempting to clean up my drop-box folder. Going through memories captured by photo of loves ones is always a difficult thing for me. Some photos are of those who have long passed and some are of life that is just beginning. The past few days I been engaging with my twitter buddy “Mr. T” in musical tastes and it’s decided that we would compile a top favorite artist list. Why stop there? Thanks to Mr. T, I am inspired to do more than just a favorite artist list and create a bucket list.
Hello all you wizards of words, the last few days my trigger button was pushed and the security door was open letting out my Chum in all his forms. Today I’m feeling better, in fact feeling good enough to dive head first participating in a weekly ritual those of us on social media “Throw Back Thursday”. The inspiration for this memory is my eighties playlist. With songs like “I Ran”, “Union Of The Snake”, “Your Love” I am transported back to my Jr. High years. It was a time where my life completely changed. Taking on new responsibilities as my generation steps one foot closer to adulthood. It’s funny when you’re a kid you spend your childhood trying to convince everyone you’re old enough to handle things than once you become an adult, you spend the rest of your life trying to recoup your childhood. I guess this is why trending fads like Flashback Fridays or Throw Back Tuesdays are most popular.
Hello all masters of words, I normally start my blogs or short stories with some clever catchphrase but I decided to take a different approach because this subject is a touchy given the right conditions, can be a trigger for my manic-depressive state aka my “chum”. I am like most women, I enjoy watching daytime television specifically talk shows but as I get deeper into watching I notice the all women panel engaging in relentless bickering and rude nasty behavior. Watching this type of behavior is very stressful. I got to thinking with all the hatred and petty fights is the value of sisterhood over?
