AND THE OSCARS GOES TO

As Oscar season comes to a close (thankfully) there are some who watched the red carpet and some who stayed and watched the whole show and there’s are those few rebels who just don’t give three rats tails about such things.  I’m in this category but in the spirit of the Oscar I did catch some of the highlights and enjoyed the best Oscars speeches of twenty-nineteen.  Social media particularly twitter is all a buzz about Oscars it’s one tweet that inspired this thought, if I was to win an Oscar (far-fetched I know but stay with me) what would be my Oscars speech?

THE BLAH FACTOR

Today I’m feeling a bit blah.  Not sad but not quite happy either.  I’m in between the two.  I call this stage of my manic depression “the blah factor.”  It’s a numbing feeling.  I don’t care about things as much as I should when I visit this stage.  Having a mental disorder you’re on a constant roller coast ride up and down back and forth its rare your able to get off.

FORGIVENESS IS NOT ENOUGH

This week hasn’t been such a hellish week as in the past, although the week has just begin, I made some decisions when it comes to my mental well-being.  I decided to really work on keeping my Chum and his party friends sequestered. I also decided not to allow anyone to hijack or take hostage my emotions.  Monday I was tested.  The She-Devil was at it again only this time no one seem to cared enough to indulge in her madness. Again I shouldn’t feel anything towards this person but how can I talk about changing and staying positive if I can’t forgive the She-Devil.  When forgiveness isn’t enough what’s next?

RENCONTREZ MON AMI NOIR ET BLANC My Black White Friend

Originally posted July 18, 2018

Hello everyone, I don’t know where to start in regards to this blog post.  This issue has been a thorn in my side for a long time all my adult life. I am a social butterfly but this has been a topic of conversation too many time.  Let me start with this, I really don’t like it when my “friend” introduce me as “oh meet my black white friend”.  REALLY, that’s how you’re gonna roll?  Reading through the comments on my social media (sunnylarue on facebook), I notice a few people don’t get why this is such an issue for me and why I get so offended.  I thought this would be a good blog to chat about.

WOULD YOU RATHER CHALLENGE

Hello all you kings and queens of the blogging community.  I was tag by my good friend and fellow blogger “TheBoozyHousewife to participate in this challenge. I enjoy participating in such challenges because the questions are out-of-this-world but what makes challenges like these interesting is the over-the-top nutty answers.  The rules are simple; Answer the ten questions, tag bloggers ( I like to tag new bloggers that I started following) and present them with ten questions.

COVER SONGS

cover-songs

“What would you do if I sang out of tune? Would you stand up and walk out on me?” Everyone is familiar with that opening line from 1968 Joe Cocker cover of With A Little Help From My Friends. Written by Paul McCartney and John Lennon for Ringo to sing, it isn’t Ringo verison we remember. Joe Cocker’s beautiful melodic powerful spin is definitely better so much that his verison is the official rock anthem for Woodstock and is the most memorable.

TODAY

Today I walked into life with a new sense of hope.  Yesterday I cried longing for a past that was devastating carrying the scent of you.  Yesterday I closed my eyes & dreamed of a life with you.  Today I opened those eyes no longer trapped in what you appeared to be.  Yesterday I danced on the ledge contemplating a jump in the hopes you finally see me & not through. Today I walked into my new life with clear picture of who I am.
