Hello all you warriors of words, with all the things going on in everyday life it’s cool to take some time and sit spending the weekend binge watching TV. There’s so many streaming services like Hulu,Amazon and HBO its hard to pick what service to watch. Hulu offers great shows like Handmaid’s Taleor HBO’s Games of Thrones and Amazon’s Good Omens and so many different shows TV watching has become more difficult.
As Oscar season comes to a close (thankfully) there are some who watched the red carpet and some who stayed and watched the whole show and there’s are those few rebels who just don’t give three rats tails about such things. I’m in this category but in the spirit of the Oscar I did catch some of the highlights and enjoyed the best Oscars speeches of twenty-nineteen. Social media particularly twitter is all a buzz about Oscars it’s one tweet that inspired this thought, if I was to win an Oscar (far-fetched I know but stay with me) what would be my Oscars speech?

“What would you do if I sang out of tune?Would you stand up and walk out on me?” Everyone is familiar with that opening line from 1968 Joe Cocker cover of With A Little Help From My Friends. Written by Paul McCartney and John Lennon for Ringo to sing, it isn’t Ringo verison we remember. Joe Cocker’s beautiful melodic powerful spin is definitely better so much that his verison is the official rock anthem for Woodstock and is the most memorable.
The world of nerds lost our hero, our rockstar Stan Lee. Stan has helped many of us generational awkwardly outcasts deal with the world by making being misfits cool. I was introduced to Marvel when my brother bought X-Men comic. I read that series and was hooked. I realized that these characters all had something in common although all the characters are misfits or outcasts they had each other creating a family or unlikely people. Fighting against a world who don’t accept their gifts, what amazing theme.
